CricketX in One Sentence
CricketX is SmartSoft Gaming's cricket-dressed crash game: a batsman strikes the ball, a multiplier climbs while the ball is in the air, and you have to cash out before the flight ends. That is the whole loop. Everything else on screen, from the pitch to the scoreboard-style history strip, is presentation layered on top of a random number.
This page explains what the game actually is, where it sits inside SmartSoft's family of "X" titles, and which details separate it from the plane-and-rocket crash games most people already know. We are an independent statistics site with no link to SmartSoft or to any casino, so nothing here is a sales pitch.

A note on the name: you will see it written as CricketX, Cricket X and, in SmartSoft's 2025 promotional push, CricketerX. The rules are the same crash format in each case. Where a casino shows a different RTP or bet range in its own game rules, that version is the one that applies to you.
What Happens on Screen
A round of CricketX goes like this:
- A short betting window opens before the delivery. Stakes go in here.
- The batsman hits the ball and the multiplier starts at 1.00x.
- As the ball travels, the number rises: 1.20x, 1.85x, 3.40x and so on.
- At some point, decided before anyone watches, the flight ends. Any bet still in play is lost.
- Bets you cashed out earlier pay stake x the multiplier at the moment you clicked.
Cricket fans will recognise the tension immediately. It is the call between taking a comfortable single and risking a big hit that might be caught on the rope. The difference is that a real batsman can read the bowler, the pitch and the field. In CricketX there is nothing to read. The animation shows you the outcome as it unfolds; it never hints at it in advance.
Where CricketX Fits in SmartSoft's X Series
SmartSoft built its reputation on JetX, one of the early crash games to gain a mass following. The studio then reused the same engine idea across a row of themed titles, often grouped as its "X games". The ones you are most likely to meet next to CricketX in a casino lobby:
| Title | Theme | What rises the multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| JetX | Aviation | A jet climbing |
| FootballX | Football | A kicked ball in flight |
| CricketX | Cricket | A batted ball in flight |
| Cappadocia | Travel | A hot-air balloon rising |
If you have played JetX or FootballX, CricketX will feel familiar within one round. The betting panel, the cash-out logic and the two-bet option follow the same pattern. What changes is the skin and some of the numbers in the published game info, such as the listed RTP and the ceiling multiplier.
How It Differs From Other Crash Games
The theme targets a specific audience. Most crash games use planes, rockets or abstract graphs. SmartSoft aimed CricketX squarely at cricket-following markets, and its 2025 CricketerX promotion was timed around a cricket season. The marketing leans on the idea that "timing is everything", which is true in cricket and misleading in a random game, because in CricketX your timing changes the payout, not the odds of the ball staying up.
The listed return is on the high side. At 98.8%, the house edge implied by database listings is 1.2%. Many popular crash games publish 97%. A smaller edge means losses build more slowly on average. It does not mean the game is easier to win, and the edge still applies to every round.
The ceiling is high. A 25,000x top multiplier exists mostly as a headline. In the idealised maths behind crash games, the chance of a single round reaching that level is roughly 0.988 divided by 25,000, about four in a hundred thousand. Casinos can also set a cap on the cash amount one round can pay, so check your operator's rules before treating 25,000x as reachable on any stake.
Two independent bets. Like JetX, CricketX lets you run two bets in the same round. Players use this to pair a cautious target with a hopeful one. It changes the shape of your results; it does not change the long-run return.
The Betting Panel, Briefly
Each of the two bet slots has its own controls:
- Stake field with plus and minus buttons and quick-pick amounts.
- Bet button that becomes a live cash-out button once the ball is struck.
- Auto cash-out toggle where you type the multiplier at which the bet should settle automatically.
- Autoplay (where the operator enables it) to repeat a stake for a set number of rounds.
Around the panel you will normally find the recent-results strip, a live list of other players' bets and cash-outs, and a chat window. SmartSoft's own promotional copy lists multiplayer play, chat and real-time statistics among the game's features. None of these change the odds. The live bet feed in particular can create a herd feeling, where you cash out because others did. Ignore it.
What CricketX Does Not Do
There is no skill element. You cannot pick the bowler, the shot or the field. No pattern in recent rounds carries information about the next one, because each result is drawn independently. A string of low multipliers does not make a long flight "due", and that belief, the gambler's fallacy, is exactly what the history strip tempts you into.
There is also no secret app, signal channel or bot that knows the next result. We cover that in detail on our predictor page.
Who the Game Suits, Honestly
CricketX is quick, social and easy to learn. Rounds last seconds, which is also the risk: a fast loop can burn through a budget faster than slower casino games. If you are curious about it, start in a demo mode, decide a spending limit before you ever deposit, and treat any money you put in as the price of entertainment rather than an investment.
