CricketX RTP and fairness
CricketX is a cricket-themed crash game from SmartSoft Gaming, first listed in March 2022: a batsman hits the ball and the multiplier climbs for as long as it stays in the air. Below are the sourced facts on its return to player, its top multiplier and how rounds are settled, with a link for each, plus the points where SmartSoft has published nothing.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Published RTP | 98.8% |
| House edge | 1.2% |
| Average return per 100 units staked | 98.80 |

Why this page says 98.8%, not 97%
Plenty of pages about CricketX repeat a 97% RTP. That number belongs to JetX, SmartSoft's older crash game. Every source we found that lists CricketX on its own gives 98.8%, which PokerListings rounds to 99%. This site uses 98.8%, a house edge of 1.2%.

From the bat to the boundary
A batsman strikes the ball and the multiplier rises while it is in the air. Press Collect before the ball's flight ends and you are paid your stake times the multiplier at that moment; still in when the flight ends and the stake is lost. The point where the flight ends is set by the random number generator before the round starts, so the visible cricket shot is only the presentation of a result that already exists. Each of the two bet slots has its own Collect and its own auto cash-out.
Fairness: what is and is not documented
- PariPulse, a casino guide, calls the game provably fair and says the outcome is locked in before the round.
- SmartSoft's own promotional material for the game does not use the term provably fair, and we found no published seed and hash scheme that would let a player check a CricketX round.
- We found no test-lab certificate for this specific title. SmartSoft as a company holds a Malta Gaming Authority B2B licence, as noted on Corriere dello Sport.
So treat CricketX as an RNG game whose fairness rests on the provider's licence and the casino's licence, not on a check you can run yourself.
The 1.2% edge in numbers
A 98.8% return means that across a very long run, 98.8 of every 100 units staked come back. A 2x target is reached in about 49.4% of rounds and a 10x target in about 9.9%. The edge is small but it never switches off: 1 unit a round for 100 rounds costs about 1.2 units on average. More detail is in the CricketX RTP guide.
Two limits on the top end
The multiplier ceiling. On a 98.8% curve, the chance that a round reaches 25,000x is about 4 in 100,000.
The cash ceiling. A casino can cap what one round pays out in money. With the 10,000-dollar limit PariPulse mentions and a stake of 10, the cap is hit at 1,000x, long before 25,000x. Check your casino's rules for its figure.
One game, several names
The game appears as CricketX and Cricket X, and SmartSoft's 2025 campaign called it CricketerX. Some sites also describe a 50% partial cash-out; none of the sources above mention one, and the confirmed way to lock in part of a round is to use the two separate bets.
Where this site's numbers come from
The results, records and dataset here are generated by a model of the published 98.8% RTP with a 25,000x ceiling; they are not taken from live casino rounds. The methodology page sets out the model and its limits.
